Danish international wingback Patrick Dorgu has garnered praise from coach Ruben Amorim for his impressive efforts in adapting to life in the Premier League.
Dorgu has made a positive start to his career in England after his mid-season transfer from Serie A club Lecce.
The talented young player received commendations for his performance during the 2-2 draw against Everton at Goodison Park, and on Tuesday morning, Amorim shared his thoughts on Dorgu’s contributions to his nascent career at United.
“The key aspect is that he’s genuinely thrilled to be here, and that enthusiasm is palpable every day,” explained Ruben. “It brings me great joy, as he has recognised how fortunate he is to represent a club like ours,” Amorim stated on the United website.
“He’s performing exceptionally well under challenging circumstances, displaying many of the attributes we anticipated when we brought him in as a young player.”
“He possesses pace, skill, and is versatile enough to play on either flank, although he’s primarily operating on the left. I believe he’s beginning to feel a greater sense of freedom. He’s set to become a significant asset for us both now and in the future.”
Dorgu is expected to feature again on Wednesday evening as United take on Ipswich at Old Trafford.
